Various times over the years, the DDA has assisted the Village with Parks and Rec initiatives. With our consultant, John Grissim, the DDA has commissioned a few Master Plans for Central Park. (The Park sits at the very center of the DDA District.)
Working in concert with P&R Commissioners and the Village administration, the DDA —in 2015 and 2019—wrote the Village’s Master Plan for Parks and Recreation. It’s an honor for the DDA to employ planning, design and grant writing experience, as our contribution to the community. Many thanks to the tireless work by volunteers to help collect data, submit photographs and offer editing expertise. Also, many thanks to the hundreds of Village residents who offered their views on the Community Survey.
